No Turning Back
I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to playing the Alto Sax. When I started playing all I knew about was wooden reeds. Needless to say I stocked up. Then the name “Legere Reeds” started coming into the conversations so I stocked up on them. Afterwards I took lessons and the preferred method by my teachers were wooden reeds, so I moved back to the wooden ones. To be honest, I got tired of spending money on the wooden reeds when I had to open a lot of boxes to get consistency with the sound, thus loosing money on those new reeds that weren’t consistent. So I gave “Legere Reeds" another shot because it was time for me to move up on the strength of my reeds. Needless to say consistency was found and the decision was finalized—no turning back! Plus, being a guy who cleans his horn, mouthpiece and reeds after every practice or performance I can’t even begin to tell you how much time is now being saved by doing it the "Legere Way.” So much so that I just ordered two more reeds today. Priceless!!!

Legere Signature Alto Reeds
I am playing a 2.75 Signature reed on my alto sax in the college jazz band. This reed is extremely consistent and always allows me to play with a fat, warm sound. I can really push for a big ff sound and still have lots of control for the softest pp. I have been working on my upper altissimo notes for my improv solos and these notes pop out every time! Now I’ve got to order a similar reed for my clarinet! If you haven’t tried these reeds you really need to give them a try,… they work!

I trust Legere reeds. I trust that each time I put one on my mouthpiece the tonal concept and response is going to be spot on. I can concentrate on creating music and not my reed!
