A fabulous pattern
I read a lot of reviews and comments for this pattern from various places that said they learned a lot from it. I'm working up to making a blazer with some expensive Harris tweed and wanted to practice some techniques while getting a new winter coat, and this exceeded my expectations. I would say I'm an intermediate to advanced sewist, and for me the pattern instructions were more than enough - none of the individual techniques used were new to me, but having the instructions explain how to apply them to coat making provided me exactly the kind of experience I was after. I love all the thoughtful details for how to get a super clean finish, like the beautiful mitred corner on the inside of the back vent! I am so pleased with the finish on this coat and that's down to Bella's great instructions. I cut a straight size 12 after making some measurements at key places (like biceps) to ensure there would be enough space, and the fit is spot on. I did have to shorten the sleeves by about an inch but this was an easy modification (made on the spot when starting to sew up the cuffs). Looking forward to trying the Fran blazer next.

A Beautiful Tailored Coat
I learned so much from the Grace Coat Masterclass and will defintely continue to use the tailoring technics in my sewing practice from hereon. I followed the class instructions down to a T and it was absolutely worth the money! The coat was made last year with fabric from my stash, I believe it was 100% wool melton matched with Bemberg lining and self made shoulder pads. I made a size 14 and graded to a size 12 at the hips. Used Gutterman uphostery thread for hand topstitching. I shortened the arms by 3cm and moved the pockets down 1 cm. Thoroughly enjoyed making this coat and would recommend to anyone willing to take the time! Tip - recommend to watch the video completely prior to sewing (Apologies for the different lighting)

Halfway there: a balanced review
If you are are a professional seamstress, you won't have a problem with this, buty the pattern. If this is a hobby project, well: Con: - Only cup size B. I feel the the bigger sizes should have corporated automatically the bigger Cup sizes. - Video tutorial (masterclass) is expensive as hell (30 Eur). - No online sew along or presence for this coat (from various creators): I tipically like to look for videos or pictures, so I have an idea about diff. colors, how is looks on diff. body types, diff. materials... Pro: +Written instructions are clear and detailed. Long version: The pattern and the written instructions seems to be detailed enough. I am thinking about buying the Masterclass video, which is 30 EUR right now. Why not somewhat cheaper, so the coat would gain online popularity, thus the pattern would sell more? The making of a video is expensive I understand that, still... Cup Size B for all the sizes?! In the written instructions there are some guidance how to adjust the pattern, but honestly I am not confidant enough for that. I am an intermediate beginner, who loves to challenge herself with difficult patterns, this is my fisrt time with a coat. Many mockups will be needed for experimenting with the cup adjustment/ overall fit, and this is very frightening. I chose to make the actual coat from walkloden (a type of boiled wool) and cupro, so this is my most expensive project. I have not yet finished this, so I don't know how the pattern will come together an the end. Summary: This is the most beautiful coat I have ever seen, and I was amazed that no one on youtube had made a sew along. I am mildly angry about the cup size, with that, this would be just perfect. However adjusting myself the coat/lining/ inter. is really an annoyance! Even if I had the skill, it would take so much time to do it, and If I buy and print a pattern it should already be included, since it is not an easy peasy length adjustment!
