This will be used a lot
I call this my Mary Poppins bag as everything can go into it. When not in use for weekends away I am going to sort my fabrics that are next to be used in it.
I made it from odds and ends of materials but it came together in the end.
I won’t lie, bulky to sew but not difficult, just make certain you have plenty of space.
Love it along with a couple of friends who want one.

Great pattern
This was the first time I’d made a structured bag and I loved the whole process. The instructions were very easy to follow and I made it in a mid weight denim with twill lining. It’s primarily for my husband to use for a sports bag but will also be perfect for a weekend bag too. I used wider webbing for the handles but otherwise kept to the instructions. All in all really brilliant pattern.

I just love making bags!
This pattern was lovely to work on from start to finish. I am a bag-maker but having something this size to work on was brilliant. I can't get over how big it is in the end! I look to up-cycle old fabrics so when making this one, think curtains, lined and ideally from a charity shop or some that would otherwise be thrown away. I used a thick stripy linen that used to be a window blind and parts of an old rug for the sides. Also, the straps are old judo belts and base is the fabric from an old suit bag!
