We are pleased to bring you this special offering, as Tencha is rare to find for sale, even inside Japan. Tencha is the base green tea for making powdered Matcha. Dark in color yet light in the cup, this tea has a lot of body (or umami) and no roast flavors.

Tencha Bliss

I was very pleased with my purchase of Tencha. I like the lightness and subtle favors. After finishing the first cup, I made a second because I enjoyed it so much. However, I only heat the water {bottled or fresh filtered) to 160 degrees.

Tencha Green Tea

I have very little experince with drinking green tea, but thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunqtely, I don't like the Tencha tea as it is very mild and tasteless. Do you have any recommendations for a more flaavorful green tea?
