Memories

I spent two weeks last year in Japan including Tokyo. When I have a cup of Tokyo it strangely brings me back there. My son, who I was there with as he ran the Tokyo marathon, bought me a large mug at Starbucks in Kyoto. I use it only for Tokyo!!

American Gyokuro

This tea might be a good alternative if you can't source or afford Gyokuro, the Japanese green tea with strong umami notes. I could not taste the caramel or sesame seeds. I already have some Gyokuro, so I won't order this again.

Delicious tea!

Definitely enjoy this tea! I love the vegetal green flavor enhanced by sesame and subtle caramel flavor. It’s not at all sweet in my opinion. I don’t use sugar but imagine more sweetness would come through if sugar was added to the brew. I’ll be keeping this tea in rotation in my cabinet.
