I received my premier backcountry in chocolate shrunken bison, and given that these are only my impressions after having owned them only for a couple weeks - they are exceptional. Very comfortable and high quality. They may not be cheap, but taking into account how long they should last, and that your purchase directly supports a sustainable way of life for true American craftsmen (and the courage of a few young entrepreneurs committed to it) – save up.

At last, Comfort and Quality in a great looking boot

I couldn’t be happier with my Russell Moccasin boots. Mine are handcrafted, custom-fitted, and made from bison leather, and after wearing them for three weeks, they’re easily the most comfortable boots I’ve owned. They’re easy to put on and take off, look fantastic, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. If you’re looking for a premium, American-made boot that’s built to last, I highly recommend Russell Moccasin. Five stars!

Backcountry boots

I had a lot of people tell me that when I was ready to stop going through cheap boots every few months that Russells were the way to go and I spent much longer than I should’ve waiting to make that decision. Out of the box they were the most comfortable boot I’ve ever put my foot in and they aren’t even broken in yet. One of the best purchases I’ve made in my life. Well worth every penny.
