I've been wearing Lems shoes for awhile now and this is hands down my favorite pair ever! I think my all time favorite shoe. I love everything about it. It's super comfortable, the toe box is wide but not too wide, the mid foot holds really well, the heel cup gives great support and cushion, the cork insole is comfortable, the rubber sole is solid, the laces hold well, the tongue stays in place and they look great (navy). This is just a solid, well made and thought out, comfortable, good looking shoe.

Good but not wide

Somehow I was misled into thinking these would prioritize letting my feet be feet, and not all squished in like most shoes. While they are wide in the toe area, and feel great there, my feet consist of more than toes. In those non-toe parts, these are quite constraining, and do not let my feet spread out like a natural foot would. As luck would have it, this narrowness caused a problem in one of my feet, and I have spent the past week recovering. The reason I give these 3 stars is they are actually quite nice, if you don't care about having that free-foot feel. The breathability in the toes is good too. And the soles seem really good quality. All this aside, Lems has a not very good return policy. The only way I can know if these will actually work is if I wear them all day, after which Lems basically says you can't return them. So here I am, stuck with shoes that are way too narrow. I will give them a second chance, either without socks and/or without the insole, only because I am stuck with them (unless I can find a place to sell them online). In the end, I do wish the Lems website was more clear about the fact that these are wide in the toes only, and that they otherwise are normal shoes that don't allow your whole foot to spread. They are 1/2 way toward the free foot feel.

Awesome shoes and n overall great experience. I had a size issue and it was so easy to make a return and get the size that works well for me. I heartily recommend Lems.
