Got this for my Singer 237, seems to work great so far and even came with extra brushes. Make sure to use the nut and bolt that it comes with instead of the one already on your machine otherwise it will not hold. Also note that you will have to cut up the wires to connect it to your foot pedal and plug. If you are not comfortable working with electricity you can also buy an external control unit you can plug the motor and foot pedal into.

Motor upgrade to vintage Singer 201 worked out fine except that the belt included with the kit was quite a bit too short for this application. (sure that it is fine for many, but this machine needs a 15-1/2 in. belt, so the old one remains in service for the time being.). Otherwise, made a clean installation and nice increase in power over the old stock motor.
