Thread Stand

I was having trouble with thread spool jerking as I was sewing and she suggested a Thread Stand. I love it. It resolved the issue I was having. Now, smooth sewing.

So nice to be able to use the bigger, crosswound spools of thread. Love the hole at the bottom to make sure the thread pulls through the guides properly. Very lightweight & portable addition to our beloved machines.

I found a white Singer Featherweight 221K7 at a local antique dealer. It wasn't working at the time but after I spent some time on it, and a local repair woman spent more time on it, and the Singer Featherweight Shop gave us some tips, it's now running beautifully. But...the spool pin is wobbly. I didn't have the courage to do the repair suggested by the SFS, but I found using the thread stand means I won't have to. It's great to not have to worry about that spool pin. And I'll use the thread stand on my other Featherweights as well.
