Good drill

This drill starts slow. It takes a while for it to gain a grip in the wood and start cutting. The cuts it makes are very clean. I still had a couple of holes out of the 18 I drilled through some half inch plywood that splintered the top layer of plywood where the bit came through. It’s possible my backer board wasn’t snug enough with the piece I was drilling.

Superior to Standard Bradpoint Drill Bits

These bits definitely create cleaner holes with less tear out. The holes are uniform and the bits work well in end grain if required. I am definitely glad I purchased this set.

When I want extra clean holes...

...I use these drill bits. I bought these bits because they produce little to no tearout at the exit hole, so far, having drilled through red oak and ash. The point is pronounced and it's easy to locate the bit exactly where I want to drill. I'm dedicating this set to fine work.
