Best pack out there
I’ve gone through enough packs to confidently say that Hyperlite is the one you need. Whether through hiking or backpacking this pack takes the cake. The most noticeable things are the lightweight material, shedding lbs off your carry. The minimal frame is the perfect fit and structure to give the pack support and maintain the minimal weight. Lastly, I think the hip belt is one of the best out there. I’ve always struggled with the rigidity of hip belts. I’ve had to physically open them up to slide into the pack when taking them on and off which is very annoying. With that also comes the “cut”. With most packs the hard structure hip belts tend to cut into your hips throughout the day leaving you bruised and beat up and wanting to tap out of your trip. The Hyperlite hip belt is minimal but still optimal for use. It’s the first belt that is flexible to your body type and still very comfortable on the hips and light. These other packs are doing too much; too many pockets and zipper and straps. Best bag hands down.

North Rim 55 L
Took her out on its maiden voyage this past weekend in Harriman State Park just outside of NYC. I brought a huge picnic of hot wine and hobo pies in the pack... So, lots of weight. I love the pack's durability... My previous pack was a Golite Jam 50L. The most amazing pack I ever had... RIP Golite. The Jam was a pioneer in ultralight gear... Ahead of its time! I wore it thin... My new Hyperlite is really well made with the best material. I have a little bit of a long torso. ...but I think the Long size that you all offer is too long for me. But, the Large feels a little bit high on my waist. I would be happier if the hip belt rested more on my actual hips and less on my waist. I will keep using it and adjusting the shoulder straps until my pack finds its happy place and I can travel long distances again with the weight of the pack either all on my shoulders, all on my hips, or distributed on both. ...this spring I have my scopes on thru-skiing the Catamount Trail in VT. I'll become very familiar with the pack on a trip like that. Please let me know if you have any insight for me. Thanks for reaching out! Kindly, Adam

North Rim is durable, waterproof and Lightweight
We are a guide service that exclusively use Hyperlite packs for commercial backpacking trips, including trips into the Grand Canyon. As a guide service we're hard on gear and Hyperlite packs, and specifically the North Rim, are burly and hold up to countless tough miles.
