Favorite Trekking Pole Tent

I’ve had the Unbound 2 out a couple of times now and so far it’s my favorite trekking pole tent. Despite its 48 inch width, I can easily get two 25 inch pads in size by side. When I’m traveling alone the extra space is great. The Unbound just feels higher quality than other similar tents - and I’ve tried many… I pair it up with the Unbound 40 backpack and I’m set.

First impression

I received this right before an early November multi-day backpack into the Gila Wilderness of SW New Mexico, an area with with a base elevation of 6,000 in the canyons up to over 11,000 feet high peaks. I have used other ultra-lite tents in the past, this was my first test of a single wall tent. I found the set-up and takedown to be very easy, and for an ultralight the floor space was adequate. I'm 5'10 and 160 lbs, my brother is 6'2" and had no problem either. I wondered if the single wall would make condensation a problem. We had no issues. That said, we had fine weather so perhaps it might be different otherwise. I will be interested in how it does in my home area of the Washington state Cascade mountains. I am very happy with this purchase. In this world, you get what you pay for, most of the time, and I think this was worth it.

Amazing solid tent

This tent is my absolute favourite go to tent. Really easy to pitch, very solid in all weather's and ive camped all year round in it! Very spacious too, me and my partner can comfortably fit inside with both of our dogs 🐕
