Why did we wait so long to size up?

We got a small power pet door several years ago for our Maltese and it's been great! But it was way too small for our rescue pup that turned out to be mostly Great Pyrenees and to weigh 100 pounds. So finally last month we arranged to have the dog door cutout in our very thick stone wall enlarged — and hoped that our big boy would be able and willing to crawl through it. Well, it worked! He gets through it without a problem. And we can stay out as late as we like, without worrying about his bladder...

couod not give zero stars. Had the original pet door and LOVED it. It finally died after 6 years of constant use, so I decided to upgrade to the wifi version. Showed same specs so I thought there would be no problem. Put the front of the door in with no problem. I tried EVERYTHING to get this tunnel to fit. Made the hole in the wall bigger than the size showing on the website. Theirs thing would NOT fit. I went to order a new plastic tunnel that I knew would fit, and they don’t offer them anymore. Had to just cover my old plastic tunnel with water proof tape and use that one with the new door. Now, I can’t get the wifi door to sync with the app. Customer support couldn’t even help me. Very frustrating. Would buy the original door again, but seriously think twice about the WiFi door.
