Replaced a Solo Pet Door as they have gone out of business and couldn't get repair parts. Had to frame the wall to a smaller size with drywall and new paint. Pretty good project and you can't tell we changed. Like the speed of the roll up door and my wife can see when the little dog goes out at night. So far, very haooy with the new door.

Security failure in design. Does not stay locked down.
Hello, I currently own the PX2 Slider dog door. I decided to purchased the new XL Roll Up door for the wall to free up the slider. Before I cut the wall, I decided to pair it with the app and make sure it functioned. After 30+ attempts, I could not get it to pair. Called customer support. They were great! They offered to send out a replacement. I ended up cancelling the replacement because this new roll up door does not have a locking feature when the door is down (the previous versions do). Meaning, anyone at any time can slide/lift the door up and get into your house. They told me I can put the sliding plastic door in to prevent anyone from coming in but completely negates the purpose of an "automatic pet door". This is not acceptable. I am disappointed that they didn't or forgot to design it with a security locking door for the price of the unit.

Happy Camper
We had a very useful and functional pet door for years but it allowed our mew, curious young cats to go outside. Trouble is we now have coyotes regularly patrol our neighborhood and they are a menace to cats. So we jumped in and tried out the hi tech roll up door that fits to our sliding glass door. We had no specific issues with that door other than it sometimes closed hard when no pet was present. But it was only a test to see if the cats would escape when allowed the 2 second window of opportunity! They didn’t and we purchased the wall unit as a permanent solution. This installation has been flawless in operation for the couple of months use. We have a Blink camera focused on the door and sliding glass door, so we can keep track of entry and exit of the dogs. This has been a game-changer for us as we are traveling more and need a way to keep track of our pets. I’ve attached a photo of both doors, to show the transition from rollup door in sliding glass door to a permanent installation, as well as an “action shot” video of Ellie using her roll up door. She of course is the star of the show!!
