A great option for people who are gone during the day for long periods of time!
We bought this smart slydr so we can let our dogs (5 of them) in and out while we are at work. We both work 12 hr shifts and decided this would be our best option. It has worked out great! We did not get the pet pass, we just open and close the door from the app at certain times during the day. I DO wish there was some type of motion sensor like elevators have, rather than the one it has where if it hits resistance because one of our dogs is a mini doxie and I tested it with my hand and feel if it hit the doxie, it would injure them even with it retracting afterwards. It was a pretty good squish before retracting. We obviously did not want to do the pet pass route due to the amount of dogs we have and not wanting them to have unlimited access to the back yard for 12 hrs. Also the ease of releasing the lock to use the door manually is simple and a nice option for when we are going in and out ourselves. Hoping this lasts a long time, it's working out well for our situation. It was costly but so far worth the convenience.

What a brilliant idea! But it doesn't work.
What a brilliant idea!. Unfortunately it doesn't work as you would think it does. Or as I thought it should. I thought I should be able to hook this up. Put the PetSmart tag collar on my dog. Calibrate the door. Teach the dog to walk up to the door so the PetSmart tag would work. But that doesn't happen. Dogs can be fairly easily trained to do things that happen over and over again. Unfortunately when the door doesn't open the dog gets bored wanders around. Which still does not open the door. Oh sometimes it does. The Wi-Fi connection has had to be reset everyday. I have more than enough bandwidth. My wyze cameras never go offline. Some of those are also four times far away from the router. Then you need to calibrate the door virtually every other day. Sometimes outside my dog can be 10 ft away and the door will open. Most the time when it's in within 2 ft of the door. It doesn't do anything. Rather annoying to the dog too I suppose. I don't believe their reviews. What I think you should also look at before you buy their system. Is all their videos. Did their marketing team parties together? I don't think so. And if they did, they're horrible. If you ask any question on even Gemini or AI chat. Almost everything you see will be from their website. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be out 800 bucks for something that doesn't work as it should. Even though it's a brilliant idea and it should totally be able to work. But their hardware or software or whatever it is does not work well. And if you like customer service through email, this is the plan for you. I also will be very curious if this review shows up on their website because you won't see reviews anywhere other than their website. Or something affiliated with their website.

Go for it! Pawtastic.
Text support through the website with any install issues. Once installed it’s a breeze. Install took 2 hours. Time savings and ease of use since has been a dream! Highly recommend. Changed my dogs life with the pet pass. It’s the envy of my neighbors still hooked on dog walkers.
