Shun Kanso 6 Piece Knife Block Set

A great set

This set is my primary workhorse. I have other Shun knives, but this is my everyday set, and it is equally as sharp and balanced as the others. I personally like the rustic look, and the weight feels good in my hand. I don't have any issues with the handles not being as smooth or polished as the more expensive ones, and I haven't found it to be fatiguing at all, and it actually enhances the grip. Also, the blades aren't as thin as some of the others, therefore chipping hasn't been a concern of mine (of course that's assuming you are using them properly). Like all sets, I wish it included some of the other knives in this line, but no set is perfect, I use everything that comes with it.

Knives are great, block is cheap

The knives themselves are great, but the last thing I expected to have to do when ordering a $400+ knife set was clean the sawdust out of the knife block. The block was made in China, the knives in Japan. It shows. If anything order the knives seperate and get a different block
