Great knife tainted by unsanitary handle
The riveted wood handle on Mac knives are not sealed to the tang. Fluids can make their way between the tang and handle. The outside can be washed and dried, but by simply squeezing the handle, small droplets of liquid can ooze out and onto your palm. Unfortunately, for this reason, the knife cannot be considered sanitary. The first MAC knife I bought ten years ago had the same problem and I thought maybe it was a bad sample. Instead, it appears that's just how they make it. The merchant however, was understanding and sent me a prepaid return label.
