This is a very nice lightweight knife, holds an edge very well, and is versatile enough to act as a paring knife, a bone knife, and all-around cooking tool. I am very pleased with this purchase

This knife is a terrifically weighted blade and handle that feels comfortable and gets dramatically better results than the knife block cheapo we used to use. Would recommend this set as we have 3 now and keep adding to it.

I already had a gyuto from the Birchwood series and really liked it. I ordered this utility knife online and when it arrived both my wife and I found the handle of this knife to be just too small. I exchanged it in person at the Ottawa store. for a more traditional 150 mm Japanese style knife and couldn't be happier.
