Okay carrot, newbie grower, not thrilled
The Adana F1 carrot seeds were planted per instruction in a 10' long raised double-row in fertile sandy loam soil. Planted in October 2024 for 2025 harvest here in south Alabama. Six months later we harvested a touch over eight pounds of carrots of differing sizes. They were drip irrigated via T-tape. Taste of the juice we made had somewhat of a surprising "spicy" taste that was unexpected. Possibly the carrots were too "old"? This is my first time growing carrots so it could have been something I did. Probably won't be planting them again. I'll give them four-stars due to them producing (I think) a good crop even though I'm a newb at carrot growing and the taste issue might be something I did...
