Toetem 3.0 straps
Love the new toetem straps! The only thing i would do different is make the side post taller maybe right below the ankle bone. Only because they still tend to slide around under foot and i have to pull up the back occasionally. Other than that there awesome!

I have new sandals!
Switched out the lacing system on my Shamma Sandals with the Black Bear kit and... WOW!!! What a difference. The posts and straps are super soft and comfortable. The difference is truly amazing. I wish I had done this sooner. Now, I feel like I have a brand new pair of sandals. I found the "how to" videos very helpful. The switch over didn't take long at all. Only tool needed is needle nose pliers.

Great for high-volume and wide feet
Replaced the factory straps on a pair of Luna Origens with the Black Bear strap kit. The factory straps just dug in too much after a while on my feet and had a tendency to loosen on my wide and high volume feet (I’m 10EEEE in US men’s.) Restrapped sandals feel way more secure, and provide better adjustability for my foot width. Comfort with the new straps is improved as well; the slightly padded nature of the straps being sewn fabric and hook-and-loop vs just plain nylon strapping is a nice bonus.
While I did have to spend a good bit of time on getting my Luna footbeds to fit the side posts and the anchor tabs, I attribute that more to the fact that the Luna Origens are recycled tire sole, not really designed to be turned into a sandal to begin with nor modified at will by owners. Hardest part, for me, was pulling the side strap anchor tabs through the fairly-inflexible tire rubber.
I ordered in early September and cold weather hit sooner than I had wanted, so I have not had much chance to wear the sandals with these straps, but the construction and materials feel durable; at least as durable as my Bedrocks or the factory Luna straps.
A small suggestion for Toetem: my ankle bones sit pretty high up on my foot. The side posts as installed on my Origens sit about 1.75”/44.5mm below my ankle bones. Maybe taller sideposts as a selectable option in the future if people want a bit more security around the heel?
