Loving them
These have been great! They have been an important part of my barefoot journey. They have been comfortable (although they need occasional adjustment) and grippy. I've put them through a lot, and they clean up well and remain solid. The only side effect is that my calves have grown quite a bit through barefoot strengthening. Not just due to these sandals, of course.

Urban summers
At first I was unsure about how they felt on my feet. After some adjustments and acclimation time, they are my new favorites. These shoes are perfect for my downtown walking and biking life. I walk a ton and usually wear through a lot of soles. I love the barefoot feel and hope the soles last long. Then I'll simply replace the soles. I love this modular design. No more sending my sandals away for resoling.

Really enjoying them!
This is my first pair of sandals since I was a little kid. I finally got back into running after 10 years of being inactive, but running shoes were cramping my toes. I went down the rabbit hole and found out you can run in sandals! It’s taken a month or so to slowly adjust the straps, slow down, strengthen my feet and arches, and learn how to run without padding… but it’s going well and I love it! Yesterday I ran for an hour in my chargers on sidewalks and bike paths, jumping on rocks and benches. They’re super grippy and my feet feel free! It has been tricky to figure out the straps to stop getting little blisters, but with experience I’m getting them super dialed in. Overall this is really rewarding and fun. My feet, calves, glutes feel stronger than ever and I don’t have cramped toe pain or tweaked knee pain any more. So I think the sandals are doing well at promoting better running form. I’d like to try them out in the rain next, but I’ve read they should be good. After some more months of running, I’ll probably buy a different model of Shammas for trail running.
