I've been a fan of WÜSTHOF knives for 20 years, since we received a set of Classic Ikon knives as a wedding gift (although I knew as soon as I saw they were from Solingen that they were going to be top quality). After several years, we completed our knife block with a set of steak knives. Like the rest of our knives, they have great hand-feel and balance, and they cut through steak effortlessly. But I have to give an extra shout-out to WÜSTHOF for their lifetime warranty. When my son dropped his steak knife on the wooden floor, the blade broke. After discussing the problem with the company, they agreed that it should not have broken in that way, and they honored the warranty by sending me a replacement knife.
