When purchasing the Wilson 1000 antennae I also purchased the Short Whip because even though the 62” whip works great, it is too big for most uses. I loose about 2db using the Short Whip over the 62” whip but it is much easier to get around town on the roof of my SUV. When I drive in the field, long distances from other users, I switch back to the 62” whip. Also, I had to cut 2 inches off the Short Whip to get a perfect 1:1 SWR with my installation.

Good antenna

I replaced my tall antenna with this shorter one and I am very happy with the product. Easy to tune. Just cut from the top of the antenna to set SWR. Performance seems similar to taller antenna.

Exactly what I was looking for. Right length, I don't have the 64 in hitting everything as I drive around in the mountains.
