Wilson 1000 Magent CB Atenna, with a Wilson Short Load Whip

The 62 1/2” whip that comes with the 1000 was too long to fit under our carport. So I ordered the short load antenna just in case. Paired it with a Cobra 75 All Road 75; amazing combo. From Ohio, I heard transmissions from Tennessee ,Alabama, and Mississippi with a SWR of 1.1 and 1.2. Right Channel Radio’s customer service is way above average!

So far so good...

The Wilson 1000 magnet mount was very easy to affix to the roof of my F150. I ran the coax down the back of the truck between the cab and the bed and entered the coax inside the cab through the cab vent. It seems to be a tough antenna and can take reasonable abuse. I am still waiting to talk on my radio until I get the SWR's down to spec.
