Versatile and well made

I love the shape of this Rondeau combined with the domed lid. I think this is a very versatile shape that works well for boiling, steaming, braising and sauteing. It is large but not so big as to be awkward. It fits my 11.5 inch induction hob perfectly. It is wide enough to lay pasta flat in the bottom so that you aren't leaning it on the side to cook. It also works really well to steam vegetables when combined with a steamer basket. The way the lip is designed on the lid (it sits down inside the rim of the pan) keeps the condensing steam from leaking out the side. It heats evenly and feels sturdy but is not so heavy that it is hard to move. The handles are comfortable and don't get hot. I am very happy with this purchase.
