Fran Pajamas Pattern

I love my new PJs!

I recently had an urge for a new pair of pajamas. I bought a paper copy of the Carolyn Pajamas several years ago - before I learned not to cut the pattern. I didn't really think I would like the fit of the new Fran Pajamas, so I considered ordering a new copy of the Carolyn Pajamas so I could tweak the fit. However, after looking closer at the new pattern (and looking at all the Instagram pictures), I decided to try the Fran pattern, and I'm so glad I did. I love the look and fit of the new pajamas. I don't really "lounge" in pajamas, but I'm considering a new habit. My measurements fit within the small range -- I do have a short torso, so I shortened the top by 1". I compared the finished measurements to a nightshirt that fit well, and made no other changes. I worked really hard to get a perfect loop for the small top button, and then forgot to use it (but no going back). I also love the burrito method for the yoke. I'm thinking of a flannel shirt using the top pattern and maybe some pants from the bottom pattern. Overall, it's a great pattern.

Fantastic Pattern

I made a set in beautiful linen from Merchant and Mills with a Halloween costume in mind (that could double as lux pajamas). The fit and details are perfect. The instructions were easy to follow and really thorough with links to videos. Couldn’t recommend more!
