Calder Pant
Love how they turned out! But, DO make the muslin (cut to shorts length is enough) because I was 2 sizes smaller than what my measurements indicated. Plus I took in the inside seam a half-inch plus. The instructions for lined pockets stumped me, but I used the exterior fabric for pockets, so I could ignore that step - yay! STILL, this is the BEST experience making pants I've had since high school!

So flattering
I can't believe how good these trousers look on me. I sewed a size 20 apple, no adjustments, out of midweight 100% linen. I had to cut 2.5 inches off the bottom hem (5'6"). Probably need another inch, but right now, they look just like the pictured orange trousers in terms of length. The long leg and high waist, combined with whatever magic is happening across my belly, creates a smooth, elongated line that is very elegant and professional. These pockets were a new process for me, but I just followed the clear instructions, and they look great and are very sturdy. I don't imagine they will stretch out. This was a muslin before I dive into making more in twill. I can't wait to get started. I'm late the the Calder party, but I'm having a good time.

Calder pants-shorts
I love the pattern. I chose this pattern to start fitting pants. I have a very difficult time fitting patterns: 50-inch waist, 52-inch hip, and a size 14 leg, no rear to speak of. I have worked with this pattern and several muslins and got the fit almost right. I started with shorts and would love the below-the-knee pants. Just need to size down the lower part of the back piece. I am excited- would never have gotten this far without the support from Cashmerette patterns.
