Poor battery life

These lights are just awful. I turn them on (flashing) for a ten-minute ride home, and they need to be recharged if I have any hope to use them the following evening. Except that they will weirdly only charge with one particular micro-USB cable (the others work just fine with my other devices, including my Kindle), so I can't even charge both at once! And then if I don't need them for a couple of days, they completely discharge. I was super excited about these lights, and now I'm just frustrated about the waste of money.
