Soltera 2.5 Ebike

Great bike… except ..

I love my Soltera 2.5 it is comfortable and built well. My only issue is a whistling sound when I turn on the motor. Haven’t pinpointed where it is from yet and I hopefully will get it resolved soon.

Great Present

Bought the bike as a Christmas present for my niece who recovering from a spinal problem. Now she can bicycle freely, and when she tires, she uses the electric feature. She is very happy. Buy at Christmas, order early.

150 Miles In, Great Bike

Im about 150 miles in now. It took me some time to write this review because I waited for about 3 weeks before riding this bike because i wanted to get tannus armor installed in the tires before riding. I had that done after assembling the bike at home with a friend. The assembly was mostly easy but i did take off the wrong screw on the front end of the bike while trying to get the wheel on and let the brake fluid out of the front brake. That was my mistake. If I remember correctly you should just be able to put the wheel on with out unscrewing anything. So after getting the tannus armor installed I started using it to commute about 5 miles to work. The path is mostly sidewalk with some rough grass spots. The bike does fantastic on the sidewalk and road. Very comfortable and much less strain than my regular bike. In the rough spots it doesnt do too bad either but you have to slow down a bit. This bike isnt necessarily intended for that so thats understandable but i do think it would be a lot nicer with some kind of suspension for rougher parts of the road. It still manages very well though and i have been loving the bike so far. I tend to get a few days out of the battery so far and that is nice though i may get an extra in the future. The speed at 20 is good for the types of areas this bike is meant for, and the brakes work well. All around I think it is a great bike and well worth the price point, especially since i got it on sale for $1100. Would definitely recommend this bike for urban/suburban areas. Would give 5 stars but Id like to see the next version with some suspension or at the very least a suspension seat option, as its a bit bumpy even on some sidewalks, though this is very minor and pretty much the only flaw I can find in the bike so far. Also be prepared to buy a few accessories like a mirror, helmet, etc. Love the bike :)
