Simple and Useful

Purchased for my GSD R14 and its great. It’s super light. Has lots of coverage. Simple to install. And has added visibility to the back end of the bike even in daylight. It’s a necessary addition for the bike when conditions turn for the worst. No one likes wet road spray covering their ride and themselves whilst ridding. I know I don’t. It’s made for this bike and nothing else, and that’s what I expected. So don’t listen to reviews that purchased it for different applications. I recommend it highly.

Burley hitch

Pros: Adds no weight to the bike and is easy to install. Cons: Bought this for use with a Burley trailer. It works somewhat, but leaves a lot to be desired. The Burley trailer hitch interferes with the Mudshield so it can't rotate. The plastic is too flimsy. It does not block all the spray the wheels kick up. I'd prefer some solution that modifies/replaces the existing rear tire shield and feels more permanent, and blocks more of the spray.
