2 Dozen NYC Bagels

Not Just Bagels from DeBronx

I knew they would be different as soon as I saw the carton they arrived in. I won't be ordering the standard bagels again because they are just too heavy for me to bring in. I am 89 years old and for some reason, this carton was much heavier than previous ones. I also miss the wrappings that contain the bagels. I now have to take all the packages out of the freezer to see which one I want since there is no printing on the cellophane packaging as to which bagel is inside. I also miss the blue top that automatically told me I was looking at the blueberry ones. I will be ordering the mini bagels next time, but I am somewhat disappointed that the blueberry does not appear with the mini listing. This is kind of like Campbells buying Raos - we knew instantly that the sauce was not the original. These are not the originals either, the inside or dough just is not the same. Good, but not the same.

I moved to beautiful Idaho 7 years ago. I really missed a great bagel to put lox on. I decided to order from New Yorker bagel. I was not disappointed. I am so glad I did. if you are a bialy lover, all I will say is OMG.

These are the best bagels I have ever eaten! I have a half bagel every morning and it just makes me smile. The tastiest for me are love, jalapeno, garlic, and onion. They’re so fresh when I get them and just put them in the freezer and pull one out every day or two. They’re the best!
