Amazing approvement

Was not sure if a direct drive would yield sufficient improvement. It was worth it ! Put some new live in my 5 yo Ender 5. Never had such a smooth surface on my prints.

Excellent Upgrade for Ender 5 Pro

I have been wanting to start using TPU and the Bowden tube system was just not working. Upgraded to this direct drive unit. I took off a star because there doesn't seem to be a troubleshooting guide. I had to do multiple searches and watch 5-6 videos to figure out what I was doing wrong. Overall, highly recommended.

Should have done this years ago

To say that I am happy with the Micro Swiss Direct Drive NG would be an understatement. It brought my ancient old Ender 5 back from the dead. It took less than an hour to install and make the necessary adjustments to the e-steps and slicer settings. The print quality was amazing. Even at .2 layer width I could barely make out the layer lines. At .1 layer width the prints look like they were from an injection mold. The dimensional quality was spot on. Before, I was resigned to replacing my printer at 10x the cost of this extruder/hotend. Now, I hope to get a few more years out of my Ender 5.
