I bought the Titanium Shaving Handle (No Knot because I wanted a badger knot) and used it a couple of times. The knot I chose was a Manchurian Silvertip Badger and it was extremely soft with a nice backbone. The titanium handle is on the smaller side - in fact it is one of my smallest brushes. The size is about that of a Simpson Chubby 1 and is very smooth due to the polished finish. The handle is hollow and contains a cork / sponge to fill in the cavity. Because of the small size, lather ends up getting on the handle when whisking it up in a shaving bowl and it then becomes slippery to hold. I had asked for it to be a polished finish, and that made matters worse. You might be better off by getting the brushed finish as it will help you to grip it properly. The other negative is that because of it's shape, I could not find a stand to use (I have several), as there is nothing for the stand to hold onto when the brush is standing upside down. I ended up just leaving the brush to stand on it's own and it dried just fine. BTW, there is nothing wrong with leaving a shaving brush to dry on it's own (that is in fact the recommendation from Simpsons). Being made of titanium, it is very light - I'm thinking of making it my travel brush as it is small enough to fit into my Dopp kit and light enough that is does not make it heavy. I'm very satisfied with this titanium shaving brush handle even with the couple of negatives. I'm hoping to get years of service out of it.
