RazoRock Game Changer .84-P Double-Edge Razor

Really nice razor

The Game Changer .84 has been a literal game changing razor for me coming from a mild razor. The GC with the 0.84 is efficient enough to handle coarse hairs while still being comfortable and predictable. It didn’t take long to find the angle, and I just had to lighten up coming from a mild razor. The build quality and grip are very satisfying, and the stainless steel construction feels like a lifetime purchase. I also picked up the .84 Open Comb base plate, which adds a bit more efficiency while still being very comfortable. Not sure I’ll ever need another razor after finding this. Happy to be supporting a Canadian company too!

Not for those with shaky hands

The machining is smooth. The tolerances are perfect. The metal feels nice and sturdy. The blades are firmly held in place. I bought this because I have strong, wiry facial hair. I have been using it with feather blades and OMG that is a dangerous combination! The angle is very aggressive and you should err towards using slightly more forgiving blades. I will be going back to Astras because the feathers are a very unforgiving blade to use with this DE safety razor.

Very happy with my new razor

As with all new tools it took a couple of shaves or more to fine tune the technique that works for me. I had seen a few online that had the threads stripped from over tightening so I was afraid to make the same mistake so I was not tightening the razor enough and this resulted in my first couple of shaves making my bathroom look like a murder scene. Snugged up my razor and I could not be happier. it is now my daily driver and I look forward to each shave. It works with every blade I have tried (about 5 different brands) at this point And now I am looking for other tools to elevate my almost daily experience.
