Jeans Sewing Pattern

Enjoying the fit!

I have made 4 pair of jeans from this pattern, using both rigid and stretch denim and twill. The instructions are clear and the fit is easy to tweak. The pocket bag has to be clipped and eased to fit the curve on the front pant, but presses in okay after install.

Great for non- stretch denim

I had some nice non stretch denim in my stash, and wanted to make a pair of jeans. I came across this pattern, and decided to give it a try. I always have to do a tummy alteration on any pants pattern I make, and it was easy with this pattern. I did encounter a problem with the topstitching guide not reaching the full fly on the inside, but I was able to make a guide to fit. The jeans are comfortable, they look professional, and they were pretty easy to sew up.

Great fit first time

Made a wearable toile from a piece of black denim I had in my stash - I love to practice the whole thing and this was a new way to do the zip fly on jeans for me, and I loved it - it’s my best zip yet. Once finished, I kind of wished they were a bit higher waisted but I’m unsure of how and/or where to adjust my pattern pieces to achieve this - the fly front is scaring me a bit with regards pattern alteration, but I’m sure I’ll find some advice soon. Aside from that I’m super happy with how they came together and the fact that they fit so well first time round with no adjustments. These are now my eighth pair of jeans using four different patterns and styles and only the second pair to fit so well first time which makes it one of my top patterns now - will be even better if I can just figure out how to make them higher waisted.
