We had a smaller older version from 2008, that finally died!! Wife is getting ready for total knee replacement, and we wanted another ice system. I tested this new one out and what a difference in technology!!! Its so quiet you don't know its on!! I highly recommend this product, worth the money!!!

Having had x8 knee surgeries, the Polar Care Glacier is great with controlling inflammation, swelling, and pain/discomfort. Also used with bilateral hand surgery, however, does not do well with hard casted appendages. This device does not require repeated bulky ice pack change, no mess. Placement is quick, easy, and comfortable. If instructions are followed, anxiety from pain is greatly reduced along with swelling, resulting in significant improvement with strengthening and ROM exercises, retuning to ADLs and prior level of function sooner. Shipping was fast, 4 days. As a retired Physical Therapist, Polar Care Glacier units were used often with rehab, not only with joint replacements. Can be used for multiple applications. I highly recommend this product.
