I purchased this machine to speed recovery from a hip replacement. Unit is very efficient and allows for several hours of cold therapy without changing ice packs. Unit is small, portable and whisper quiet. Easy to disconnect to move around without removing the pad. The hip pad itself is quite versatile and could be used easily for other body parts (knee for example).

Great Polar Cube

I needed this ice machine after hip replacement surgery, I was concerned about the weight and if I would be able to use it by myself. It was just the right size, light weight and the very best thing I did was purchase the ice bags. People had told me that it used a lot of ice and their refrigerator couldn't keep up. I filled the dozen bags and froze them. You put 3 bags in the cube and fill with water. I was allowed to use the machine for 45 minutes at a time and the bags lasted at least 4 - 5 hours. Then you just switch out the bags and you are ready to go. Pad fits well. Highly recommend this unit,

Wonderful product

We borrowed this unit from a neighbor after I had surgery. We loved it so much that we bought the same unit for ourself. Works well and very easy to use.
