Modern Flames Redstone 36" Slide-In Electric Fireplace - RS-3626

The flames look nice and the heat output is very good. I love sitting in my family room and enjoying my new fireplace. I was very disappointed in the “true wood” upgrade. I looked all over the website. I tried to understand what it was before the purchase and searched the internet for a description. I (wrongly) assumed that it was a plug in log that would glow but look more realistic. Well, it’s literally a pile of actual firewood, cut up and poorly torched. Not even close to worth $300. I could have done that myself. I felt extremely frustrated when I saw what it was. The website needs a better description, with pictures, indicating what the true wood is.

I purchased two units to replace gas fireplaces. The installation was simple and easy and they look as real as the gas units they replaced and supply more heat than the gas units. Well worth the price.
