Comfortable, flat, clear and versatile

The Sennheiser HD 560s is my first quality headphone. I decided to buy it after seeing the reviews of DMS and Joshua Valor. I'm not a pure audiophile so I won't use really technical terms in this review. First of all, the headphone is comfortable. The adjustable headband system is an excellent idea. Also, unlike some, the cable didn't really bother me. I tried the headphone for both music and games. My first observation is that the sound signature is really neutral. I'm new to this but I can say that the bass for example does not cover any part of the spectrum. Everything is audible and clear (I had previously tried in-ear monitors for gaming but I felt that the bass prevented me from hearing some things). Plus the detail retrieval is decent too. I was able to hear things including speech that I couldn't hear with my smartphone earbuds. Unfortunately, I was only able to test the headphone with a dongle. I plan on getting a desktop dac/amp in the next few months to make it shine. If you're new to audio, looking for a headphone to use every day and for almost everything, and you're not a fan of very deep bass, don't hesitate to get the HD 560s.
