HEDD Audio HEDDphone D1 Open-Back Headphones

This is a wonderful pair of open-back headphones. I have always owned high-end closed back cans so I was concerned about the low-end. It is not going to blow you away but I mean that in a good way. The low-end response is so smooth. I have not once felt like I was missing anything. The mids and highs are executed perfectly to my ears. I often find headphones to be a bit shrill at the top-end but that does not exist here. The slight roll-off at the top of the frequency curve serves these very well. The D1s are also some of the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. I have a wider head and a lot of headphones will start to get uncomfortable after a while due to to the pressure they apply just above my ears. The D1s are extremely lightweight and almost feel like air. I am pleasantly surprised at how well they fit me. Bottom line: I’m extremely happy with the D1s and the multiple purchases I have made from Audio46 (awesome company woth excellent customer service).
