Great blades, I love the ergonomic fit that fits in your hand with the inlaid wood, which I believe to be coca-bolo, not 100% on that, however, they are beautiful knives and I know they will perform well as I know this type of steel. Of steel, the German steel resharpens easy and works well, these are great blades. Whether you're starting out or adding to your collection, actually a Christmas gift to my son, I know they will perform well. Hold up well and resharpen easily, thanks for making such a great product.
