Just Meh, does not taste like peanut butter at all
Bought these for 3 reasons. First, I never used SE products and I was just curious esp. after all of the controversy. Second, they were heavily discounted. Third, they are advertised as peanut butter flavor. Long story short, they are not terrible, but definitely not good. They taste mainly acidic and citrusy, with hardly any nut flavor. Definitely no peanut butter whatsoever. I come to find out on the Spring Energy website that they are advertised as "peanut butter and fruit", but the package only says peanut butter. Perhaps another example of SE communication failures. I will consume the box of gels bc they are not terrible, but will def never buy SE products again. Also, the product gets 50% of its calories from fat, so unless you're out for 8+ hours, I would not recommend bc carb content is quite low to fuel most shorter distance events.
