Excellent bean
I am new to the Black Tepary Bean and cooked them in my Instant Pot with Kombu, onion, garlic, bay leaf, salt and olive oil. It is a very flavorful bean, different from a “regular” black bean. Rich. I used 2 cups of the cooked beans in a salmon salad and dinner was a 10! I’m back to order more beans.

Looks good, haven't cooked them yet. The inner bag broke in the box but I was able to save them into a jar.

These beans are a revelation!
I had never heard of black tepary beans (or any of the other colors, for that matter). As I seem to be on a black bean bender, these seemed like the thing to try.
New (to me) beans means I soak and cook them with a minimum of additions. In this case, I added a little garlic and salt to the soaking water, and that was it.
O.M.G.! These little things are so delicious! They did swell with the soaking and cooking, but they remain relatively small. They have a flavor that I find hard to describe. What I can say is, I find them to be wonderfully flavorful, firm, and they create a lovely broth.
I hope they don't become so popular that they have to be limited.
