D'Addario Kaplan Premium Dark Rosin

Too sticky for me

I think I would like this more if I'd gotten the light instead of the dark. This dark is so gummy that it almost feels like I'm using bass rosin. It may be just the thing for someone else, I just don't care for it much.

Love this rosin... the case... not so much

This rosin is exactly what I was looking for; great staying power and goes on easily. I feel as though it enhances my playing tremendously. This is my first dark rosin and I have no intentions of ever going back to the light after this. Of course that is a personal preference, but I just love a rosin that I can tell I have applied and this does not disappoint! The case on the other hand; hmmm. I actually almost broke the entire thing trying to turn the dial so that will probably not be useful. Also, the hard edges kind of get in the way during application, but I do like having a hard case for dark rosin. In my humble opinion, this would be much better if it were in a cloth holder and then inside the hard case. But as far as the rosin itself goes... it is indeed a winner and I am very pleased with it.
