Navel Orange Hard Seltzer - 1 Gallon Recipe Kit

A tasty kit, but do some research to get the details right

I love the simplicity of the northern brewer kits and the quality of every batch I’ve brewed so far has been top notch. Upon doing some research, though, there are a lot of details that make brewing a hard seltzer a bit trickier than a standard batch of beer, especially with regards to clarity and keeping the yeast healthy. I added some gelatin at the end of my fermentation to help it clear up, which worked reasonably well but the end result still wasn’t crystal clear (didn’t bug me but just an FYI!). Also if you want it to be really carbonated bottle conditioning for carbonation doesn’t really do the trick. Kegging it up and really getting the bubbles going will def give a more “authentic” white claw experience. TLDR, the kit is good, but if you just follow the included instructions without your own research you might end up with a disappointing result.

The kit was great. Instructions were flawless, as usual. Recommend using the whole package of orange flavoring.
