Cute! May need pattern fitting

I chose the low square neckline on the fitted dress using a pointelle 100% cotton and cotton/elastine binding. Instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the binding came out beautifully! I needed to do significant fitting in addition to size grading as I have a long torso and a large difference between my torso and hip sizes. The base pattern would fit someone with a more similar measurement between their waist and hips. I also ended up doing a swayback adjustment. Good pattern! I'll be making the short top version next!

Going Places Fit and Flare Dress

I really like the fit, but wish I’d chosen the less figure-hugging type for the fabric that I chose. I felt a little self-conscious of my lower abdomen and this wouldn’t have been an issue if I had done the other view. It’s not that it was tight or anything; it just would have looked better if I had a flatter tummy. I watched Katrina of Lifting Pins and Needles and she did this view, but chose a Ponti. I will make this again if I can find a Ponti that I like or will make the less form-fitting one.

Easy to sew, easy to wear

Loved the ease of sewing this pattern and it is a great dress to wear. Made in Lycra, it is a perfect dress for travelling
