Love it
I used my hammock 5 days apart, once without and once with this kit. Both nights it got down to about 40°. The night without it with just the bubble reflecting insulating pad, I got about 4 hrs of sleep because I was so cold. 5 days later I used the hammock with the same gear same place same temps, only difference was I used this kit instead of the reflecting pad, I got a good 8-9 hrs of sleep. Now, it advertises pretty low temps, I’m not sure if I believe it would work super well much below freezing, at least not with the gear I have. Maybe there are ways to make it work but as a backpacker, the hammock and the insulation kit are already not super small area wise, they take up a good 30 liters in my pack so adding more insulation to it would be a pain, but maybe stuffing some spare clothes in between the layers would work? Anyways, if you want to extend the use of your hammock down from 60° to 30-40°, highly recommend. Knocking a star off for the volume it takes up and the fact I feel it over promises low temps slightly.

Recommended SuperShelter 4-Season Insulation System #1 Classic
This system provides warmth with the included pad and insulation from the breezy underside without hindering the operation of the hammock nor adding much extra bulk to your pack list.

I used this for the first time last weekend. Before this I have been using a down underquilt. Weather was warm for this trip, in the 60's at night. The pad insulated very well. And the system fits the Hennessy hammock better than the underquilt. The underquilt does pack slightly smaller than the Super shelter even when compression the sack to it's smallest. I haven't compared weight between the two yet, but it feels about the same. I also have but tried other materials in the liner yet. That will be after the weather get cooler. I'll write a more comprehensive review after I have used the system more and in different environments. Love my Hennessy hammock though, and I think the system will be a great addition.
