Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber Weave Viola Bow

Good Bow!

Violin is my main instrument but I got a viola for gigs and teaching purposes. The Glosser bow that came with the viola was ok but didn’t really do much for me and felt odd in my hand, I definitely had to work harder for the sound and it was unbalanced. I bought the Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber Weave to try it out after reading some good reviews about the violin version. I noticed the difference immediately in both feel and sound. It feels light yet sturdy so I can lean into the string easier. Plus it looks nice! Is it going to compare with a well made wood bow? No, but for what it is I think it does the job quite well. I’ll definitely be recommending these for my students or any older string player needing a back up or gig bow.

The quality of the bow is very good! I really love it. The stick is actually more rigid than I expected. Maybe it is because of the material. Overall, this bow is very good for it‘s price! I feel almost all of the bow techniques will be possible on this bow.

What a difference a good bow makes. My viola came with a fairly cheap bow that really masked my instrument’s tone. Once I started playing with a carbon fiber bow the improvements for me we’re startling.
