Gorgeous!
This knife is a beauty. Spectacular to look at. Bought as a gift and I'm so excited to give it (but I also kind of want to keep it for myself. ).

Night and Day
This knife, has been a night and day difference from the original set I had bought. With this new job I have, this knife has become very important to me. I believe it will carry me through a lot. There has been a lot of new techniques I have had to learn, that this knife definitely has come in handy for. Thank you Knifewear. And thank you Takamura. Much appreciated.

Highly recommended
This was the first Japanese knife I ever wanted to own, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The cutting performance is outstanding. The knife glides through onions, herbs, cabbage and citrus with very little resistance, and the overall cutting feel is exceptional. I also own a Sukenari HAP40 Gyuto, which is an amazing knife with incredible edge retention, but I honestly find myself enjoying the cutting feel of this Takamura even more. The thin grind and laser-like geometry make food preparation effortless. The SG2 steel holds an edge very well, while still being relatively easy to maintain. The fit and finish are excellent for the price, and the knife feels light, agile and incredibly precise. As an international customer in Australia, I was also pleasantly surprised that shipping from Canada was only around $10 AUD, which made the purchase even better value. This knife was the reason I became interested in Japanese knives in the first place, and after finally owning one, I can confidently say that it exceeded my expectations.
