Solar Veil Fountain Pen

Lovely writing instrument

I’m a big fan of Ellington’s fountain pens. I bought the Solar Veil for two reasons, it’s an Ellington and the color was striking. I’m incredibly happy with this pen. As with my other Ellie’s, it feels great in my hand and writes perfectly. All my Ellington’s are great writing instruments!

These pens are very good pens considering the price point. My nib preference is F and XF- many times the less expensive F/XF nibs are “scratchy” -these are smooth & work grest on higher GSM paper like quality journals. I have many more expensive pens in my collection & these are comparable in nib quality. Order confirmation, shipping & timeliness have been excellent.

An eye-catching design, and easy to use

I needed a new fountain pen for letter-writing, and I spotted an ad for Ellington Pens on Facebook, featuring the Solar Veil design. I normally ignore ads on social media, but the Solar Veil was so eye-catching that I had to find out more. I'm using the refillable reservoir and Quink permanent black ink with a 0.5mm nib. The pen sits easily in my hand and is comfortable to use, even for long periods. The ink flows well, giving a strong, uniform line on the page. And the pen looks good on my desk when not in use. Several friends have commented on it.
